Relish the Moment!Ah! the satisfaction of accomplishing a feat!
The restlessness of anticipation, the excitement while doing it and the relaxing happiness after completing it...... wondering what I'm talking about???
In general any action we love doing.... could be a bike race, a long awaited movie, a hamburger (preferably Kenzos :)) or a date with the hottest guy around..... well, right now am talking about just a book!
Sigh! all this foreword for nothing! LOL
Read "The Fountainhead"........ mind blowing! well written.....
kept hearing about it a lot in the last 4-5 yrs...... used to wonder what so great abt it???
I can only say, u should read it to feel it in spirit n reality!
Too strict and ethical for a real world but not really impossible to follow.......
Wonder what the woman thought when she created this characters, the man representing a greek sculpture and a iron will and the woman, an epitome of beauty & brains unleashed ..... did she know, that what she was about to accomplish is gonna be read by billions in the next 25 yrs but lived by probably a handful..... (even thats a goal achieved)......
She must have! women say things with such sincerity and confidence only when they believe it!

true a very good read despite bein a fat book...but the heroine has no proper importance unlike roark who has some passion which equals his passion towards her.
hmm agreed.... the heroin's character loses its importance somewhere midway.... unlike Roark.
well i am a fan of that book too. but somewhere i feel Ayn Rand went into exaggeration. Her characters are at the extremes in their own way...there is hardly any 'balanced' character. I agree idealism and objectivity might have been her ruling criteria, but still, a book of such enormous talent should be closer to reality.
hi Mr.Quipster, Do you mean to say that such characters cannot exist at all? I believe people can be crazier than this. Can you argue this statement?
