The girl who could fly...

She ran barefoot on the beach. She let the ocean think she almost fell when it teasingly pulled away the sand from underneath
her feet…she knew that the ocean loved to tease her…she knew the ocean loved her…because the ocean wanted her to fly…
She would paint herself everyday…rustic crimson of sunrise…the mocha of swirling hot coffee…the ochre of sands … the oranges
and reds of phoenix kites that boys in navy blue flew….the scarab beetle blacks, autumn leaf browns or rare jade green of
their eyes….what color though was the crinkling laughter in all those eyes? Laughter had no colour perhaps.....
Monarch butterflies came to greet her…and resting momentarily on her shoulder…painting her yellow and then they flew…their
tiny wings tickling the winds… …
They flew….not because they were monarchs….not because they had wings….but because they were alchemists….and somewhere a tree
waiting to be turned into gold….
When the alchemists flew away, She would wait for the soaring eagles ….and listen…to the eagles speak about the sun…she asked
them,” I want to be painted by the sun….What is the real color of the sun?”…

”Only when you fly….soar high enough….only then can you see the sun and the sun sees you.
“Can you teach me?”…Teach me how to fly…

“There is a cliff at the end of the beach. Climb it.
When you have climbed it having no idea whether there is a crevice above…having every idea that nothing was there to stop you
from falling…
When you stop feeling every desire…for decoration…symmetry…contentment…consequence…rationale…when you are free of
everything….of freedom itself….of every desire except flight…when there is no bigger truth for you and no bigger belief that
you can indeed fly…Then…That day….You will fly.
And then the eagles flew away….

The people had gathered at the beach next day…shielding the children away from the horrific sight…a girl had plummeted in the
ocean…a girl dressed in a crimson robe of abrasions…her broken fingernails caked with dried blood…her arms outstretched…like
a fallen eagle… then shook their heads…..Ah!...she was always queer!....the barefoot vagabond…

When the people had left….the ocean came out of her feigned slumber…..and caressed her….and cradled her to the shore….
The alchemists draped her ….and kissed her bruised….radiant…ethereal face….
And then they took off…from the palms of those outstretched arms….Those arms pulling the sky in embrace…

The eagles were circling above the ocean….and then they soared towards the sun…to tell him about the girl…who believed she
could fly….
Little did they know the sun was hiding behind his cumulous veil…..picking colours from his arched palette….painting wings on
the girl who flew….

Destiny

That first day I saw you shy,
Your lips tremble & mouth a sigh,
Your anxiety to hold me close
Look into my eyes and touch my soul…

An invisible sheath of uncertainty,
Hung loose in between us,
An unsaid agreement of silence,
To live in just this moment, abandoning the truth

No words of promise
Faith, the name of the game
That this was a bridge crossed forever
Would never have occurred to me

That this would be my identity, I barely knew
That a lifetime apart I would still believe
That what started as a frivolous gesture
Was meant to be my destiny by rule!

Faith

Whats this all about? These words faith, trust, Commitment? I keep pondering over these words... I feel these terms are relative. If I have faith in something or someone I would trust everything about it/him. If I tell someone I'll be late tonight and recieve a zillion calls enquiring my whereabouts, would that be concern or lack of faith? I'm a human so If the person calling is my parent, I would say concern but if it is someone who has to have faith in me, I would say lack of faith. See my point? What if a woman marries quite late? someone told me the other day, she could face problems conceiving! what if she does? and what if she can't? Who would she look up to? would she regret her decision of being late? would she regret her ideology that marraige and conceiving is not the sole purpose of existence of a woman? What would she do if her partner, the person she trusts looks at her with accusing eyes? How many men would understand that its more important to have the person you love beside you, a child could be adopted? I would not regret and feel guilty, coz I trust, that person in my life would weigh my existence over any natural disasters. Thats faith for me!

Lovaria n a third person interpretation

yesssss!
Finally I am the spectator to a wholesome entertainment around me.... so I decided to analyze the situation with some personal interest.
Ther's this very intelligennt and handsome friend of mine who considers himself completely in love with this female with brown eyes, coloured hair and a sharp nose (hellooooo I'm straight, thats his observation not mine...). My smart friend (or so he was) is famous for his eating habits, a wholesome breakfast, two full meals and all available snacks. Well, I miss him at the lunch table these days, coz for the past few days this guy has taken to dieting and is having nutritious Sandwiches along with one glass of juice, oh! ya and a seat facing this damsel and.....
what? nothing! thats all..... he does this everyday and comes back to his seat to work again. He talks to all her friends except her ( thats a trick mind you! though I'm eagerly waiting to check out the outcome), makes me wait in the sun as his beloved darling goes for a recharge, he hits the stars as he finds out that the chic visited his profile in Orkut and spends a night trying to find out why she didn't bother to scrap??? ( well this question bothers me too....)
Am his partner in thesis as he deducts two possibilities for this 5th century beauty not giving him a second look,
1. Attitude
2. chk this out, Probably she is committed but waves it off immediately.... how can that be possible when my Casanova friend is all nuts over her...... Repeats the famous "Dil to Paagal Hain" dialogues...... Jeez, I love Madhuri but only in movies......
Well am yet to see whats the real reason? I tried to explain it to him that though he may be a real handsome and smart guy and the only eligible bachelor alive on the face of earth, she may not be intereste...... (smack!)
Ok I guess I am better off as a spectator......

Shock

eoowwwwww!
Heard this a zillllion times today in SDB 2 6th floor....... courtesy "Pull Here" Chewing gum. Travelled across the boundaries and reached the most deserving destination (Madraaaaas) thru me, my new prank rocks...... :)
Though me being its first target, I just adore this finger length miracle...... Take it first hand! If you love Wrigley's, you'll be the prime target and once you get the taste, you'll never again pull a chewing gum from your pack.......
Can't blame the manufacturers, there's an inch long warning given in RED...
"Use it at your own risk. Not recommended for children under 14 yrs old, adults over 50 blah blah......"
Well Good research I should say, knowing we Indians are by nature forced to do what we are warned against! LoL...... :)
Anyone here reading this got what this crap is all about???? 6th floor guyz in my wing would surely do....... :D
So much for FUN!!!!!!
